1/11/2023 Weekend Weather Event
The Cambria CSD Fire Department strongly encourages Cambria residents to start preparing now for the next wave of storms, expected to hit on Friday. While this storm is expected to bring less rainfall than we experienced this week (1-2 inches possible), current ground saturation and storm damage leaves Cambria extremely vulnerable.
If you live in an area of Cambria prone to flooding, have a plan in place on where to go if you need to evacuate. Include your pets and animals. Keep at least half a tank of gas in your vehicle and an emergency supply kit in the vehicle. If you need sand for sandbags, there is a sandbag location at the rodeo grounds/dog park in Cambria.
Cambrians can expect downed powerlines, power outages, roadway closures due to downed trees, and some potential localized flooding. All Cambrians should be prepared to shelter in place and should avoid traveling during this storm if possible, as the roads may be dangerous.
The Cambria CSD Fire Department will be monitoring the conditions and providing updates as often as possible through social media, the CCSD website, and Nixle! As always, your professional and highly trained firefighters at Cambria CSD fire department are here to get you through these inconvenient and sometimes dangerous weather conditions. Stay safe Cambria, we got your back!
