Public Safety Power Shutoff Scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2026

PG&E has issued a Public Safety Power Shutoff Watch for portions of San Luis Obispo County that could potentially affect around 10,460 customers. This area includes parts of many communities, including downtown SLO, Cal Poly, parts of Cambria, Atascadero, Cal Valley, rural Santa Margarita, Morro Bay, and other areas. A list of County meters in the scope is posted below.

As of Thursday morning, some portions of Cambria are already experiencing power outages. Residents should check PG&E’s outage map to determine whether their address is affected and to confirm the reported cause and estimated restoration time. As power outages affect portions of the community, PG&E has opened charging stations and made Wi-Fi available at the Presbyterian Church, located at 2250 Yorkshire Drive.

The image shows a map of San Luis Obispo and surrounding areas with highlighted orange regions, possibly indicating specific zoning or land use data.
San Luis Obispo County offers Community Resource Centers for power shutoff: charging stations, Wi-Fi, snacks, and accessible restrooms.

Please visit PG&E's PSPS page for information about PSPS outages.
