The upcoming Fourth of July (7/4/2026) Holiday will fall on a Saturday. Per SEIU MOU and MCE Payment & Compensation Plan:

You are required to move the holiday – when a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be deemed to be the holiday in lieu of the day listed. For many of you, that preceding Friday will coincide with your SDO Friday off.

Please fill out a LOA, requesting Thursday, July 2, 2026 or Monday, July 6, 2026, as your alternate day off.

List 8 hours standard holiday pay and 1 hour paid leave. You will need to offset that 1 hour with another paid leave. (i.e., Comp Time, Vacation, Admin Leave, Float Holiday). Please return the LOA to your supervisor for approval and processing.
