The recommended pre-bid meeting was scheduled for September 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the project site, 2021 Rodeo Grounds Dr, Cambria, CA, 93428. The minutes from the meeting are posted below.

Minutes for the site walk on Sept 16th

Everyone met at the site at 1 pm and the CCSD staff (Jim Green, Eric Johnson, and Tristan Reaper) introduced ourselves. This was an informal site visit meeting and there was no set agenda or contractor sign-in sheet.

Jim showed the generator that is to be replaced. The contractors looked at it and some of them took measurements and pictures. A question was asked about how the new one was to be mounted. The answer was the new one will use the same three (3) “I” beam supports, though those supports could be moved and refashioned to the concrete slab as long as they remain within the existing slab. A question was asked about permitting. The answer about the CCSD handling the permitting was mentioned in the Notice to Bidders and this information was repeated. A question was asked about the tier level of the generator. The answer was the generator needs to be tier 4 final compliant.

Everyone moved inside the pump house to view the transfer switch and associated components. A question was asked about whether the new automatic transfer switch needs an integrated circuit breaker. The answer is yes, the new automatic transfer switch must have an integrated circuit breaker. The contractors took pictures and measurements of the existing transfer switch and associated components.

At that point everyone moved back out to the generator with some of them taking additional pictures and measurements before thanking staff for their time and departing.

The site visit meeting was concluded at 1:20 pm.
